Visa Requirements Details:

1. Visa Type

The UAE Tourist Visa is for individuals visiting the UAE for leisure, tourism, or to meet family and friends. This visa can be for short-term (30 days) or long-term (60 or 90 days), and it can be single-entry or multiple-entry.

2. Application Process

  • Apply Through Approved Agencies or Airlines: UAE visas cannot be applied directly through embassies by tourists. You must apply through:

    • UAE-based airlines (Emirates, Etihad, FlyDubai, Air Arabia)

    • UAE travel agencies or tour operators

    • Hotels in the UAE (if you have a booking with them)

    • Family or friends (UAE residents) who can apply through GDRFA or ICP portals.

  • Provide Required Documents: Submit your documents to the applying agency.

  • Pay the Visa Fee: Fees vary by visa type and provider:

    • 30-day visa: Approx. $100–$150

    • 60/90-day visa: Approx. $200–$400

    • Express options may cost more.

  • Wait for Visa Approval: Once approved, you will receive an e-visa by email.

3. Documents Required

  • Passport: Valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into the UAE.

  • Passport-sized Photograph: Recent photo with white background.

  • Completed Visa Application Form: Provided by the agency/airline.

  • Proof of Travel: Confirmed round-trip flight booking (required by some airlines).

  • Hotel Reservation or Invitation Letter: If staying with friends/family, provide a copy of their UAE residence visa and Emirates ID.

  • Bank Statement (optional but may be asked): Shows you have sufficient funds for your stay.

  • NOC or Cover Letter (if applicable): From employer or educational institution, stating leave approval.

4. Visa Processing Time

  • Normal Processing: 3–5 working days.

  • Express Processing: 1–2 working days (additional fees apply).

  • Processing times can vary depending on agency and UAE public holidays.

5. Entry Requirements Upon Arrival

  • Printed Visa Copy: Keep a printed copy of your e-visa for immigration checks.

  • Travel Insurance (Recommended): Health coverage for the duration of your stay.

  • Return Ticket & Funds: Immigration officers may ask to see your return ticket and proof of financial means during entry.

6. Important Notes

  • Visa Overstay Fine: AED 50 per day after visa expiry.

  • Extension Options: Tourist visas can usually be extended twice for 30 days each time, without exiting the country.

  • Transit Visas: Available if traveling via UAE for a short stopover. Usually valid for 48 to 96 hours and arranged by airlines.
